Editorial Policy

How we create and review guides.

MyHealthPlanUSA publishes educational articles for US readers. Each article is reviewed before publication for clarity, usefulness, risk, and alignment with official sources.

Source standards

We prioritize official sources such as HealthCare.gov, CMS, Medicare.gov, the IRS, state marketplaces, and state Medicaid agencies. Citations appear at the bottom of every article and link directly to the primary source.

Corrections and updates

Articles include both an updated date and a reviewed date. We update pages when official rules change, when we find a clearer explanation, or when a reader reports a possible issue.

Reporting an error

If you believe an article is inaccurate, email contact@myhealthplanusa.com with the article URL and the specific claim you would like us to review. We aim to acknowledge corrections within a few business days.

Independence

We do not sell leads, quote requests, or insurance policies. If display advertising is added later, ad partners and disclosure will be clearly described on this page and in the Privacy Policy.

Editorial team and review

Articles are written and edited by the MyHealthPlanUSA Editorial Team and reviewed by MyHealthPlanUSA Editorial Review. The byline represents an in-house team rather than a single named author. Where applicable, individual contributor credentials are noted on the specific article.
